chopped<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>6 <b>garlic cloves<\/b>; minced<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>1 large white <b>onion<\/b>; chopped<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li><b>Spices<\/b>:\n\t\t\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li>1 tsp <b>savory<\/b>; ground<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li>1.5 tsp <b>Himalayan salt<\/b><\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li>0.5 tsp <b>celery seed<\/b><\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li>1 tsp <b>black pepper<\/b>; (1 used Jimmy Dean Regular)<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>1 <b>Russet Potato<\/b>; peeled, grated<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>0.5 Cup <b>no-salt beef broth<\/b><\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>1 Cup <b>Fresh Flat Leaf Parsley<\/b>; chopped<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>2 TBSP <b>maple syrup<\/b><\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>1 <b>egg yolk<\/b>; mixed with 1 tsp water, for egg wash<\/li>\n<li>Serve with 1 to 2 TBSP of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.samanthataffner.com\/blog\/quebec-ketchup\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Quebec Fruit Ketchup<\/a> per serving<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t\t<h2>Instructions<\/h2>\n\t\t<ol>\n\t\t\t<li><b>Make Filling<\/b>:\n\t\t\t\t<ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li>In a large pot heat <b>oil<\/b> on medium-high heat.<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li>Add <b>bacon, garlic, onion, and spices <\/b>.  Cook for 5 minutes.<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li>Add <b>beef, pork, potato, and broth<\/b>.  Reduce heat to medium and cook until liquid is almost absorbed.  Approx. 15 minutes.<\/li>\n\t\t\t\t\t<li>Add <b>parsley and maple syrup<\/b>  and cook until most of the liquid is evaporated.
