Ingredients
- 6 Tomatoes; Chopped (I used purple tomatoes)
- 2 large white onions; peeled and chopped
- 4 stalks of celery chopped
- 2 peaches; pitted and chopped
- 2 pears; cored and chopped
- 2 apples; cored and chopped (I used sugar bee apples)
- 1-1/2 cups white vinegar
- 1-1/2 cups white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (I used Himalayan salt)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 4 bay leaves
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Add all ingredients a large pot.
- Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally for 2.5 to 3 hours. Ketchup is done when it is think and most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Sterilize 4 16oz glass jars and lids.
- Spoon ketchup into sterilized jars.
- Store in refrigerator for up to 6 months.
- Remove bay leaves before serving.
