Instructions
- In a large bowl mix egg, soy sauce, 1 TBSP siracha and water.
- In a separate bowl combine flour and baking powder.
- Slowly mix in flour mixture to egg mixture to avoid lumps.
- Cook protein of choice in large frying pan. I use my iron skillet. Once the protein is cooked remove it from the pan.
- Set the same frying pan to medium heat and add diced onion. Cook until tender.
- Add ginger garlic paste and stir to combine.
- Add cabbage and cook cabbage until tender. Stir often. I like my cabbage a little browned.
- Add batter and stir to combine.
- Cover pan and cook for 3 – 5 minutes on medium heat.
- I slice into four wedges and then turn over in pan and fry for another 3 – 5 minutes on medium heat.
- Top with mayo, okonomiyaki sauce, and toppings of choice.
